My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $200 if picked up in TN, $275 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.

Lucky Lady is a beautiful, gentle soul who is now ready to embrace life as a beloved family member. At around 3 years old, and 48 pounds this Black Mouth Cur mix is the perfect blend of playful energy and sweet affection. At first glance, Lucky Lady may seem shy — she needs a little time and patience to feel safe with new people. But once she trusts you? Her whole heart opens up. She becomes a wiggly, smiling bundle of joy! One of her cutest quirks is the adorable toothy smile she flashes when she’s excited to see her humans. She also tilts her head just slightly, as if she’s always trying her very best to understand every word you say. It’s unbelievably endearing. Lucky Lady LOVES to play — especially with other dogs. She’s a high jumper, a runner, and a dancer (literally… she does a little happy dance when excited!). After playtime, she becomes a cuddle bug who wants to snuggle. She is house-trained and enjoys the crate; she even goes in on her own to relax. She knows “sit” and is ready to keep learning. She’s still working on leash skills. She gets excited, especially after doing her business, but she’s eager to go on walks and learn with her humans. Luky Lady would thrive best in a home where she can have a smooth, slow adjustment, at her own pace. She’s currently living with multiple dogs and older kids and does great with them, though she can be nervous around strangers. If ignored and given space, she will approach when she’s ready, and once she chooses you, she loves deeply. Lucky Lady is the definition of resilience wrapped in sweetness. She survived years on her own as a stray, but now that she’s discovered family life, she’s all in. She wants to love and be loved, and once she trusts you, she’ll be your loyal, cuddly, smiling companion. If you’re willing to give a patient, playful, tender-hearted girl the time she needs to blossom, Lucky Lady will reward you with a lifetime of love.

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
