My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jade, a gentle soul with a heart ready to bloom.

Found abandoned on the reservation and being bullied by other dogs, Jade came to us scared and unsure of people. With time, patience, and kindness, she has begun to shine. She now trusts our UAF volunteers, and every day we see more of the sweet, playful pup she truly is.

Jade is naturally timid with humans, but she thrives when she has a confident dog to follow. A canine companion who can show her the ropes would be a wonderful match. Once she feels safe, her playful side takes over—she loves to wrestle with other dogs, and a good game of chase (or being chased!) is her absolute favorite.

With the right adopter—someone patient, gentle, and committed to reminding her she will never be abandoned again—Jade’s transformation will be beautiful. When she’s comfortable, her personality sparkles: she’ll invite you into a game of catch-me-if-you-can before flopping down for affection.

If you’re looking for a tender, dog-loving companion who just needs a little time to trust, Jade may be the perfect addition to your family.

Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.

If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.

HOW TO APPLY: From Petfinder.com or the fastest way to get to the adoptable dog page is to copy and then paste this link into your browser: https://unitedanimalfriends.org/adoptable-dogs/

When you are on the UAF website select "Adoptable Dogs" and pick the dog you are interested in. To apply to adopt, go into the dog's profile, and click the gray "Apply for Adoption" button to get started.

More about this rescue

United Animal Friends (UAF) is a volunteer-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit group founded in 2003. Our mission is to provide rescue programs and services to animals and those who care for them. In addition to rescuing, spaying and neutering, fostering, and finding homes for dogs and cats, UAF provides many services for residents of Yavapai County and their pets. Our Spay/Neuter Certificate Program, Community Pet Food Bank and Emergency Medical Program help hundreds of people and pets each year.
