Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Shamrock came to us as a stray, and while we don’t know her past, she’s shown us exactly what her sweet future can look like. When she first arrived, she was extremely shut down and unsure of the world around her. Everything has been overwhelming and a little bit scary in the shelter… until she met a dog friend.
With the help of a confident, outgoing pup, Shamrock’s personality began to bloom. She watches other dogs closely and takes comfort in their presence. Because of this, Shamrock must go home with a friendly resident dog, one who can continue to show her the ropes and help her feel secure. We’ll require a meet-and-greet at the shelter to make sure it’s the perfect match.
Shamrock is still a very nervous girl and may always be on the timid side. She can be flighty on leash, so a fully fenced yard is strongly recommended to help her feel safe and allow her to explore at her own pace. Once she trusts you, she is gentle, quiet, and incredibly tender-hearted.
We do not know how she does with cats, and given her sensitive nature, Shamrock would thrive in a calm, adult-only home with patient adopters who will let her settle in slowly and celebrate every little step forward.
If you have a soft spot for the shy ones, and a canine companion who loves helping new friends, Shamrock may be the lucky charm your home has been missing.

More about this shelter
We ask that anyone in need of surrendering an animal call for an appointment. Our name reflects our geographic service area, not a governmental body. We are a nonprofit agency dependent on private donations and are not supported by tax dollars. As a "special admission" shelter we accept all animals in need, but we do utilize an appointment policy to ensure there is space for all incoming animals. Thanks to a dedicated and caring staff and volunteers, and the monetary contributions of so many compassionate individuals and businesses in our community, we offer our animals the best of care as they await their new forever home.
