My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I adopted Finley five years ago from the Nashville Humane Society after seeing him featured on the news as Dog of the Day. He spent about a year as a stray before being rescued, and the moment I met him, I knew he was meant to be mine.

Finley is about 6 yrs old and is the most gentle, affectionate companion. He loves curling up under the covers behind your knees at night, walks, long drinks of water, and watching his squirrel friends (including Rudy from our Atlanta days). One of his sweetest habits is what I call parking, when he gently backs up between your legs and leans into you because he feels safe.

He is fully house-trained and has never had an accident indoors. He knows many tricks (videos available!) and has an adorable talent for gently chomping popcorn kernels instead of gulping them down.

As I prepare to move overseas (New Zealand) for graduate school, seeking a calm, loving forever home where Finley can receive the stability, companionship, and affection he deserves.
