My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Goldie — Your Gentle, Loyal Adventure Buddy

Goldie is a sweet, sensitive soul with a heart every bit as warm as his name. He may start off a little shy when meeting new people, but he enjoys watching the world, quietly observing and learning from those around him. But once he forms a bond, his loyalty runs deep- he becomes protective in the softest, most loving way, always wanting to stay close to the person he trusts.

Goldie gets along wonderfully with other dogs and tends to be very permissive and easygoing when he plays. His gentle nature extends to children, too; he is very curious about them, understanding that they are small and fragile. Around people he knows, he transforms into a cuddlebug who adores ear rubs, belly scratches, and any moment of calm affection. He’s also very quiet, the kind of dog who will curl up beside you and soak in the warmth of being loved.

He has a high food drive, as treats are one of his greatest joys in life, which makes training easier and bonding even more fun. He’s not picky at all and is always happy to share a snack or learn something new if food is involved.

Goldie absolutely loves the outdoors. Whether he’s strolling down a trail, exploring new smells, or getting into a bit of harmless mischief, he’s happiest when he’s out in the fresh air. He’s quite the adventurer and, if given the opportunity, may even try to climb a fence so a secure yard or supervised outdoor time is important. He would thrive in a home that enjoys long walks, hikes, or active afternoons in the yard. Though he’s still getting used to the leash, his eagerness to please and his love of treats make him a quick learner.

Goldie will do best with someone who understands that trust takes time and who can offer him patience, consistency, and compassion as he continues to come out of his shell. Once he realizes he’s safe, he gives his whole heart in return. If you're interested in meeting Goldie, please contact Karla at (706) 330-0093.
