My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Cheryl! 🐾
Cheryl is an almost 2-year-old adorable Chihuahua, and she is every bit as sweet as she looks. This tiny girl loves her people and would happily snuggle the day away if you let her. She does well with other dogs and has such a gentle little heart.

Cheryl can be a bit shy when she first meets someone new, but she warms up quickly — and once she does, she’ll melt right into your arms. She’s the sweetest little thing and is ready to find a family who will love her endlessly.

If you’re looking for a cuddly companion who just wants to be your tiny shadow, Cheryl might be your perfect match! 💕🐶

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
