My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sydney! 🌼
This beautiful 1-year-old, 11-pound long-haired dachshund mix has had such an inspiring transformation since arriving at the rescue. When she first came in, Sydney was timid and unsure, keeping to herself and watching the world from a distance. But with time, gentle care, and patient encouragement… she blossomed.

Now? Sydney is a total lovebug! 💖
She seeks out attention, enjoys being snuggled, and happily greets the people she trusts. Her confidence grows more every day, and she’s showing us just how sweet and affectionate she truly is.

Sydney absolutely adores other dogs and will thrive in a home with a friendly, confident canine companion to show her the ropes. She’s especially fond of our boy Muggle — they make quite the cute pair!

If you’re looking for a gentle, sweet girl who’s ready to keep growing in a loving home, Sydney might just be the perfect match.

More about this rescue

We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.

Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.

Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
