Meet Thumper — The Sweetest Little Hopper!

Thumper is a delightful 1.5-year-old terrier mix who weighs about 15 pounds and is packed full of charm. His name suits him perfectly — when he’s excited, he literally hops around the yard like a happy little bunny!

Thumper had a rough start in life, and somewhere along the way he suffered a broken jaw. It has fully healed, and you’d never know it. He eats, drinks, and chews toys with zero trouble, and his joyful personality shines through every single day.

This little guy is the perfect balance of playful and calm. He LOVES playing with other dogs and gets along beautifully with his foster’s two pups. But once he’s inside, he becomes a relaxed snuggler who’s happiest curled up for a nap beside his person.

Thumper comes with great house manners:

- Crate trained
- Potty trained
- Working on leash training (and doing great!)
- Friendly, social, and eager to please

He would thrive in a home looking for a small, affectionate, easygoing companion who still enjoys a bit of outdoor zoomies. Whether he’s hopping around the yard or snoozing at your side, Thumper brings nothing but sweetness and joy.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.
