Sign Adoption Contract
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.

Chili has been settling beautifully into her foster home and is proving what a smart, sweet girl she truly is. She’s doing great with crate training — even making it through a full workday without any accidents!
She loves attention, enjoys her toys, and has that classic puppy energy with a touch of silliness. Her foster family says she’s a joyful little character who keeps everyone laughing.

I get along great with kids, cats, dogs, and even pigs! I come with my vetting up to date age appropriately, dewormed, microchipped, flea/tick/heartworm prevention and some food, leash, collar, treats, toy and other goodies.

All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped.
AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess. BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!

Submit Application
We begin each adoption with the submission of the application. This step helps us assess the fit, and gives us general information.
Approve Application
Part of approving the application for adoption is a vet check. To make this step go faster contact your vet to approve the release of record
Home Check
Home checks are required and will happen prior to the meet and greet. The home visit can happen at the same time of adoption.
Meet the Pet
The meet and greet is the last step. We will want to meet the family including your current dogs to ensure it will be a good fit.
Sign Adoption Contract
Pay the adoption fee via cash, check or PayPal. Complete the contract with our volunteer and you may take the pet home :)
