Meet Adam! 🐾✨
This handsome 1-year-old grey and white neutered male mixed breed is ready for his fresh start—and he’s hoping it begins with you! Adam came into our care from another shelter, and since arriving he’s shown us just how sweet, goofy, and full of life he truly is.

Weighing in at about 50 lbs, Adam is a perfect medium-sized companion with a playful, energetic personality. He LOVES tennis balls—if it bounces, he’s all in! When meeting other dogs, he’s been pretty indifferent, so he’ll need to meet any resident pups before heading home.

Adam has no known history with cats or children, but he would love to meet the whole family before adoption to make sure it’s a great fit. If you have cats, we can provide guidance on doing safe, slow introductions at home to help set everyone up for success.

Treat-motivated and eager to learn, Adam would thrive with positive reinforcement training as he settles into his next chapter. If you’re looking for a fun, loving dog who’s ready for a new beginning, Adam can’t wait to meet you! 💙🐶

Owned a pet in the past, please list veterinarian pet went to.

Approved applicants will be asked to come to the shelter to meet the dog. (Cats/kittens are at other locations to visit)

Interested in a dog? Please fill out an application at our website, please list dogs name on application or if you don't see one, please list breed/gender you are looking for. (We can place you on a wish list) Once approved we will watch for a dog for you. When we get in animal that might be what you are looking for we will contact you to set up an appointment to meet the pet.

$60 Adoption fee for cats. $100 for kittens. $150 Adoption fee for dogs. $250 for puppies. All potential adopters must complete our Adoption Application.

** Most cats/kittens are located at PetSmart in Utica or PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills, unless noted **

Go meet their pets

Our adoptable cats are located at a PetSmart in Utica, PetSmart in Bloomfield Hills. You can visit them at the stores when they are open.

For Dogs we are asking people to fill out an application online to get approved. Applications can be found here: https://macsshelter.org/dog-application. We will schedule a meet and greet of the dog after application approval.

We do take our dogs to different pet stores in the Metro Detroit area on Saturday's. You can visit our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/macs1935) to see where our next dog adoption event will be located. These events start at 11 AM - 2:30 PM.
