Meet Maxie, the sweetest “small dog in large dog form” you’ll ever meet! Maxie absolutely adores hanging out with his little dog friends — his very best buddy here is a 17-pound pup, and the two of them love napping together and chatting (in their own cute way) about the amazing homes waiting for them.

Maxie may have the body of a bigger dog, but he's got the heart and energy of a tiny one. He loves fast-paced walks because there’s just so much to see in his exciting new life.

All adoptable animals are currently in foster homes. Please email adoptnwa@bestfriends.org to arrange a meeting.

Pay Fee

Standard cat adoption fees are $50 for adults and $100 for kittens. Standard dog adoption fees are $100 for adults and $150 for puppies.

Additional adoption info

We strive for an open adoption process that helps you find the right pet for your family. We have standard adoption fees, but offer frequent adoption promotions with reduced adoption fees. During the adoption process there is a brief consultation with our Adoption Specialist and a short contract to sign prior to finalizing the adoption. Best Friends commits to the pets for life and we will take back the pet if they can no longer be cared for in your family. Adopters must be 18 years or older to adopt a pet.
