My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET Girly!
I am looking for:
-A quiet home with no young children
-A home with another cat is recommended

Girly is shy little lady who isn`t a big fan of the hustle and bustle of shelter life. New places and people can feel overwhelming for her, so she prefers to watch the world go by from the safety of her bed. Over the past few days, Girly has been bravely stepping out of her comfort zone! She has been leaning in for a sniff or two, and she even enjoyed a bit of churu from a volunteer`s finger. She’s lived with other cats before, and may do well with some friendly feline pals in her new home to show her the ropes. Girly is looking for a calm, patient home that understands that shy kittens bloom in their own time. If you have a quiet space and the willingness to help a shy kitty come out of her shell, Girly just might be your perfect match.

Girly is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed, microchipped and been seen by our vet team.

More about this shelter

Pets are family. This belief is at the heart of everything we do at the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

We are the first female-founded animal welfare organization in Massachusetts and are proud to carry on a legacy of kindness and compassion, helping more than 20,000 animals annually since 1899.

Recognized for our innovative, award-winning programs that go beyond sheltering, we address the root causes of the issues facing animals and the people who love them.

By partnering with communities, we help animals heal and thrive, keep pets and people together, and protect animals from harm.

Because there is no government funding for this important work, animals must rely on people like you to get the care they need, when they need it most, 365 days a year.
