Foster Time Frame: 2 Weeks (The foster time frame could be longer depending on future medical results and needs.)
Foster Care Plan: Apricot is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection, which is similar to a common cold. Since she may be contagious to other pets, we strongly recommend keeping her in a separate, dedicated space such as a spare bathroom or bedroom until she has fully recovered. She will continue her treatment a bit longer to fully clear the infection.
A recheck in one week is needed, along with new chest X-rays, to make sure her lungs are healing as expected. She will go to her foster home with medication, and once her treatment is complete, she’ll be ready for surgery/adoption.
Foster to Adopt: Apricot is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
