Meet Sylvia! 🏴‍☠️

Sylvia is a petite, adventurous kitten with a big heart and a brave spirit. She was found seeking help after a rough start to life and needed medical care for an injured eye. Thanks to a kind rescuer and Whiskers, she received the care she needed and is now healthy, happy, and ready for her forever home.

Sylvia is full of playful energy, enjoys the company of other cats, and gets along well with dogs. She’ll always be a “pint-sized pirate,” so she’ll do best with a cat-savvy owner who understands her curious nature. She would thrive in a home with older, gentle children.

Sylvia may occasionally need medication for her sensitive sinuses, and her eye should be monitored, but she’s otherwise a bright, affectionate, and resilient little girl. She truly is a pirate’s treasure waiting to be found! ❤️

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

We accept applications online and in person at events. Applications are accepted on a first-come basis.

2.
Meet the Pet

We require an in-person meeting with potential adopters and one of our adoption specialists. All members of the family should be present.

3.
Interview

Interviews can be conducted via email or in person and may happen before, after or during the in-person meeting with the pet.

4.
Home Check

Home checks may be completed at the discretion of the interviewing adoption specialist.

Approve Application

A follow-up contact will be made by an adoption specialist 1-3 days post-adoption and again at 10-14 days.

We are an all volunteer staffed rescue. Typical response times are less than 12 hours; however, please allow up to 72 hours for a response.

Whiskers Mission

Our goal is to minimize the euthanasia of high-risk pets in Utah. Three actions we focus on to help us achieve this goal are as follows.

Reducing the number of unwanted pets through spay and neuter programs.

Keeping pets in homes by providing education and resources.

Rescuing and adopting out pets from shelter partners.
