Meet Matisse, aka “Biggy Smalls,” the queen of confidence and self-proclaimed ruler of the litter. With her mostly white coat and that jaw-dropping dark mask, she doesn’t just enter a room — she makes an entrance. Toys? Claimed. Treats? Naturally hers. Your lap? Well, if she deems it worthy, maybe you’ll get the honor.
This Aussie mix is sweet when she wants to be — which is usually right after she’s shown everyone who’s boss. Medium-sized when full grown and working on her potty training, Matisse is looking for a home that can admire her swagger, survive her sassy antics, and most importantly, love her like the masterpiece she knows she is.

We are foster based, but hold adoption events in various Pet Stores in the Greater Phoenix Area.
We can also do individual meet and greet for any of our dogs with an appointment with the foster.

Here at Arf-Anage Dog Rescue, our motto is "No Mom Left Behind". We specialize in moms and pups from local shelters as well as the Navajo reservation. When fosters are available, we also help with puppies that are owner-surrendered, "accidental" litters, or the last of a litter that someone just "couldn't get rid of".
Once our Mama dogs are done raising their pups, they are given time to recover then spayed, rehabbed, and made ready for forever families.
Puppies are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. We orient them into a foster-home environment and begin potty training and socialization. We find them great forever homes and in case it doesn't work out, we take the dogs back and find them another loving home. We offer 80% refunds on adoption fees up to 5 days after the adoption.
In some situations, we also offer assistance to help find free or reasonable spay and neuter services for owned pets.
