Inky is a big, handsome eight year young boy that was rescued from a hoarding situation. We believe he is a Bench Setter based on his appearance and character traits. He has really bold, dramatic markings and he enjoys grooming which will be a necessity in his life going forward.
Inky is learning to live in a house perhaps for the first time in his life and he loves to be with his person. He would do best in a quiet home where someone is home more than gone. Inky loves his crate but only if his person is within view. His house training is going well but we think he’ll need patience and a refresher when he moves to a new home. He enjoys daily walks which will be important to help him build up muscle in his rear legs as he was likely kept crated at the hoarders.
Inky was in really bad shape when he came to rescue, but he has been fully vaccinated, neutered and received a badly needed dental.
This big boy does get along well with other dogs, but he could be an only dog as well, as long as he receives lots of attention from his humans. He has not been kid tested or cat tested. We believe he would be fine in a 4.5' fence as he has low prey drive and has shown little to no escape tendencies.
Inky would truly love a home for the holidays with people who can continue to gently guide him to all the benefits of living inside and give him the love and pets he so desperately deserves. Can you give Inky his Christmas miracle?
