My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION FEE: $10

Coco is an incredible senior lady who has completely stolen the hearts of everyone she meets. She originally came into care with her sister, who was unfortunately very sick. Coco herself arrived with a pretty severe upper respiratory infection and a noticeable lump in her armpit. After a vet visit and some much needed TLC, her URI has cleared and the lump has been tested and confirmed to be a fatty lump. Big sigh of relief.

While she's doing much better now, Coco will still need ongoing senior care, and her adopter will be asked to sign waivers acknowledging her history with the URI and the lump. What she lacks in perfect health, she more than makes up for in love. She is truly one of the sweetest and snuggliest rats we have ever met. Coco is happiest sitting on your lap for hours, soaking up gentle pets, and you'll often hear her bruxing or catch her boggling away in pure contentment. She absolutely loves treats and always takes them with the gentlest little hands.

We're not entirely sure how she would do with another female rat, as we weren't able to observe much of her relationship with her sister while they were in care, so any introductions would need to be taken very slowly and thoughtfully. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate companion who just wants to be close to her person, Coco is your girl.
