We adopted Luna from Burien Cares in April of 2025. At that time our family consisted of a 2 year old toddler and a 3 year old Lab. Then we found out we are pregnant. Then we found out the pregnancy is twins! Between the toddler, the twins, the lab, and now Luna, we cannot provide her with the attention necessary for her to thrive.
She is a shepherd mix. She loves to play chase at the dog park, go on walks or runs, and plays with squeaky toys. Our lab and Luna have different playstyles (fetch vs herding/chase), and we can't give both dogs what they need. We are sad to be posting her here, but with our expanding family we ultimately think it is what is best.
Luna is a sweetheart that gives lots of kisses and cuddles. She lets our toddler climb over her, touch her paws, play rough with her. She knows some basic commands, is house trained, knows how to use a dog door. Luna is a high energy dog. We take her to the dog park frequently to get the zoomies out, she loves playing chase!
