MEET RUBY #12!!

Ruby is a bright, affectionate, and high-energy dog who loves to swim, play fetch, and show off her tricks—she can shake, give high fives, and reliably “drop it” on command thanks to her puppy and intermediate training. She’s friendly with new people, crate trained, great in the car, and happiest when she’s active, so she’d do wonderfully with someone who can give her daily walks and plenty of playtime. Ruby enjoys toys, loves being close to her person, and thrives in a home with a fenced yard where she can run and explore safely. She prefers to be the only dog in the household, as she no longer gets along with her current canine companion, though she remains gentle and loving with adults. Additional adoption info

All potential adopters will be required to complete our Adoption Application, read and sign our Adopting Policies and Procedures, and participate in a home visit by one of our adoption representatives. Our Adoption Application is located on our website: www.underdogaz.com.

We also have a mandatory two-week Foster With Intent to Adopt trial period for all animals in order to be certain the pet is a good fit for your family.

Our standard adoption fee for dogs is $200; puppies are $250.

Non-standard fees do sometimes apply. Puppies younger than six months may have a higher fee. Designer dogs, purebreds, and other toy type breeds may also have higher adoption fees than the standard $200.

We do, however, have discounted fees for dogs that are seniors, a pair of dogs adopted together, or cats. If you are a veteran or an active duty service member, please ask about our partnership with Pets For Patriots.

All Underdog pets are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped prior to adoption.

We are a 501c3 non profit, your donations save lives and are 100% tax deductible.

More about this rescue

Underdog Rescue of Az is an all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescuing and re-homing of abandoned and/or abused dogs.

We are a foster-based rescue, and do not maintain a physical base of operations. All of our animals are placed with loving, caring safe foster families until they are adopted. We are also an "All Breed" rescue, and do not discriminate based on breed, age, size, etc.

Underdog's mission also includes educating the public on the issue of animal welfare. We strive to promote shelter reform, spay and neuter education and emergency rescue information & assistance.
