Animal Profile: Twas the week of Thanksgiving when the rescue phone rang. We were asked to help a local family facing eviction and accepted Buddy, Walter and Jovie into the rescue. Named after a favorite holiday film, Elf, these 11-week-old German Shepherd/Poodle pups are ready to spread some Christmas cheer to all far and near…well, at least to three lucky families! They are friendly, social, and were raised in a home with other dogs and children. We are excited to get to know them in foster care.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization.

All potential adopters must complete the adoption application including veterinary and personal references. In addition, a home check may be required. Adoptions will not be approved without an in-person meeting with the adoptable dog and a volunteer or foster from the rescue organization. Dog Gone Seattle is a Seattle-based non-profit corporation established in 2013 as a community based organization and in 2017 as a non-profit corporation seeking to place homeless dogs in forever homes in the Seattle area. We take in dogs from high-kill shelters in California and Texas, as well as dogs from unfortunate circumstances in Washington and beyond.
