Katus is an approximately one-year-old male who came to the U.S. all the way from Kuwait, and he carries both beauty and depth in equal measure. With his incredibly striking markings—hinting at the slightest touch of Bengal—and his perpetual doe-eyed expression, Katus has a face you won’t soon forget.
He is a shy, sensitive boy who takes his time adjusting to new people and surroundings. Katus is very much a cat person’s cat—the kind who doesn’t give his heart away easily. But once you earn his trust, it feels like winning the lottery. He shows his affection by gently bopping his head into your hand, asking for more pets, and he absolutely goes bananas for freeze-dried treats.
Katus isn’t particularly playful just yet, but that’s likely because he needs time to feel safe and settled. Patience is key with this sweet boy, and the reward is a quiet, meaningful bond that grows deeper with time.
He arrived from Kuwait alongside another cat, Lolo (also available for adoption). While they are friendly with one another, they are not bonded and do not need to be adopted together.
Because of his timid nature, Katus would thrive in a calm, low-traffic, adult-only home with someone who truly understands that the best things in life—and in rescue—come to those who wait. If you’re the kind of person who values trust, quiet affection, and the joy of watching a shy cat slowly blossom, Katus may be your perfect match.
