Benny #8746: white & buff tabby, short hair, neutered male, born approx. 3/3/11
Cats: mellow ones or solo Dogs: would rather not Children: adults, maybe calm teen
BACKGROUND: Benny first came to The Rescue House as a tiny kitten; though he found a happy home, his guardian became terminally ill and passed away shortly after he came back to us. Benny has a slightly sensitive stomach and does best on foods that are tailored for that.
PERSONALITY: Gentle, calm, and loving, sweet Benny is a soulful cat who flourishes in a quiet and stable environment. It will take some time for Benny to fully settle in and trust, though he is a total love bug! Even when he’s adjusting, he’s willing to interact and get some pets and treats. Once he’s comfy, Benny will roll around on the floor batting his blue and amber bicolor eyes to encourage you to rub his belly, and as you pet him he’ll purr up a storm making `air biscuits` with his paws. At night, he`ll be on the bed with you. During the day, he’ll bird-watch from his cat tower. Benny loves a flat cardboard scratcher (to scratch and roll around on) and the posts on a tall cat tree. He prefers to play by himself with small plush toys, especially if they have catnip in them! He will play with a wand toy though isn’t as enthusiastic about it as he was when he was a kitten. Benny is an excellent companion kitty.
COMPATIBILITY: Benny can live with mellow cats and is also good as a solo kitty. He would prefer not to live with dogs. He needs a quiet routine-oriented home without children (a calm teenager might be all right) and preferably just 1-2 people total.
Will you benefit from Benny’s gently generous love?
