Poe’s Puppy Adoption Profile “Soft heart. Tiny paws. Big potential.”
Hi, I’m Poe — a 3-month-old male chihuahua mix with a sweet spirit and a gentle soul. I’m the kind of pup who likes to take my time getting to know new people. I might be a little shy at first, but once I decide you’re safe and kind, I’ll quietly make my way over to you… and suddenly you’ll realize you’ve gained a tiny shadow.
I’m an independent guy — I don’t need constant attention — but I do love being near my person. When I’m feeling sleepy, I really appreciate warm snuggles and soft pets. That’s when my little tail thumps happiest.
Running free in the yard is one of my absolute favorite things. I’m still trying to figure out this whole “walking on a leash” thing… honestly, I’m not a huge fan yet. But I’m a smart boy, and with patience and positive experiences, I’ll get there.
I’m crate trained and feel safe in my cozy den. But there’s something else that really helps me: another dog around. I learn a lot from more confident pups, and I’d love a friendly canine buddy to show me the ropes — and maybe play chase with me in the yard.
If you’re looking for a sweet, thoughtful puppy who blooms with gentle care, I might just be the little companion you’ve been waiting for.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt. It doesn`t obligate you, but it is the first step. We don`t get to all of the inquires but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
