Foster Needed 12/12/2025 - email toni@doggoneseattle.org if you can help
Animal Profile: Meet Billy. Billy and his sibling are 6 month old Lab/Hound X, sweet puppies that got a second chance after coming from a home where the adults were living on chains. While that situation is still being handled in court, Billy and Nanny were safely surrendered to our rescue partner, Saving Shelter Strays.
They are thriving in their foster homes and learning all about toys, cozy beds, kindness, and what it means to feel safe and loved. They are all very friendly and love people, kids, and other dogs. They arrive 12/12 — but they need foster homes (or foster-to-adopt!) to continue their journey. Please contact us if you can foster or for more information on our foster to adopt program toni@doggoneseattle.org
Foster Update: Meet this sweet, soulful little gentleman. Billy is the definition of calm, gentle, and people-oriented. From day one, his biggest goal in life has been staying close to his humans and soaking up all the love he can get. His signature move? Following you around and sitting politely, hoping you’ll notice him and give him some affection — and honestly, it works every time.
For a puppy, he’s impressively mellow. He’s had no accidents, isn’t a chewer, and responds beautifully to gentle redirection (a simple “no” or “ah-ah” and he’s happy to stop). He’s curious about other dogs but clearly prefers people, showing a soft, submissive nature rather than rowdy play. He’s not fearful at all — just polite and a bit tender-hearted — and would do best with kind, well-mannered canine friends if he has them.
He’s reportedly been great with kids and truly seems like the kind of puppy who would thrive as a family companion: docile, affectionate, easygoing, and eager to please. If you’re looking for a puppy who’s more about cuddles than chaos, more heart than havoc, this little lovebug might just be your perfect match.
Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $575, which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations per AVMA standards, microchip, negative heartworm test if over 6 months, and health certificate. Your donation may be tax deductible as DG is a 501c3 organization.
