If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We foster-failed Beans when he was 3 months old, about a year ago. He is a sweet, snuggly dude who loves people. Beans loves to play fetch almost as much as he loves a cozy snuggle session.
Beans is fully crate-trained and house-trained. He must be crated when not supervised (will chew a hole in your pillow or blanket given the opportunity). He knows basic commands and underwent a 3-week balanced training program over the summer.
His relationship with our cat is manageable (our cat hates dogs but Beans has always been very interested in her). Hard to say how he would do with other cats.
He can get nervous/reactive when exposed to new environments/objects.
We are re-homing because of resource guarding w/ our other dog. It’s manageable, and we’ve done a lot of training. But neither dog is living their best life because they can’t be on furniture or have treats or toys around each other. They both have to spend a lot of time in the crate.
