My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Snickers is a 4-5 year-old beautiful Patch-Tabby with very unique markings. He is a sensitive, but very gentle and affectionate kitty with a wonderful personality. Snickers is up to date on all vaccines and he has also been microchipped. Although Snickers has tested positive for FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus), he is very healthy and can live a long and happy life. Snickers can live in a household with other cats as long as they are not aggressive towards him. He could also live with another FIV positive kitty (or kitties). Snickers loves to snuggle, play and can be very silly at times. He would do best with a family in a quiet household. Snickers will need time to adjust to a new environment; but he is a wonderful boy and he just wants to be in a home where he feels safe and loved.

All pets are vaccinated, sterilized, and microchipped prior to their adoption unless medically noted otherwise.
Potential adopters are required to fill out an application and have a GAAR representative complete a home visit before adoption; applicants are then subject to GAAR approval before adoption. Please note that applications are not first-come, first-serve, and instead, pets are placed in homes that we perceive to be the most ideal match for them.

Guardian Angel Animal Rescue (GAAR) is a no kill, not for profit rescue dedicated to the welfare of abused, neglected, and disabled animals. Primarily a dog and cat rescue, we are a community of volunteers in Southeastern Michigan that have the goal of temporarily sheltering each animal in our houses until a responsible, loving, and permanent home is found. GAAR is firmly against euthanasia as a means of reducing unwanted animals. a
