Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, my names Archie! Im one part of the Alfie and Archie duo. You can often find me in the cat tree house (which I may or may not be too big for, but this is a no judgment zone) or sitting on the windowsill, watching the world go by. Sometimes I like to sleep under the blanket on the couch, when Im feeling particularly chilly! While my brother is more of the playful one, I do get the zoomies and I love to play with my cat nip toys. All while Im waiting for meal time, of course. Im not a cuddler, but I am a sucker for a good back scratch. My brother is a great playmate for me, so it would be best if he came home with me too.

Start by filling out the adoption application on our website. Once we approve it, you can meet the animal and if everything is a good fit, you will complete the contract, pay and take the animal home! We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold dog adoption events every Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm at the Grand Junction Chow Down or special locations for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment or at special events. Please check our calendar for upcoming events. https://grandrivershumane.com/event-calendar/

All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services. We are a foster based humane society and do not have a physical location.

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption events & area locations and provide medical care for shelter pets in need. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
