Salem was found after being run over by a car, breaking his pelvis and part of his spine. He is recovering considerably well and will be ready for adoption soon! Salem would absolutely thrive in a multi-pet household, as he gets along very well with his cat AND dog foster siblings! This beautiful boy absolutely loves human affection, and will most definitely charm you with his polite meows. Pre-adopt Salem today!

Start by filling out the adoption application on our website. Once we approve it, you can meet the animal and if everything is a good fit, you will complete the contract, pay and take the animal home! We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

We hold dog adoption events every Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm at the Grand Junction Chow Down or special locations for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment or at special events. Please check our calendar for upcoming events. https://grandrivershumane.com/event-calendar/

All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services. We are a foster based humane society and do not have a physical location.

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption events & area locations and provide medical care for shelter pets in need. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
