Didi first came to GRHS very skinny with a nasty case of coccidia. After time love and vet care she has gained weight, love and comfort! She is a bit shy at first meeting but absolutely melts for butt scratches or cuddle time! She tends to like men more and will often open up to guys first! Her favorite thing to do is sleep so hard she almost melts into the bed! Apply and scoop her up today!

Start by filling out the adoption application on our website. Once we approve it, you can meet the animal and if everything is a good fit, you will complete the contract, pay and take the animal home! We are always here to support you after the adoption with any questions or concerns.

Go meet their pets

We hold dog adoption events every Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm at the Grand Junction Chow Down or special locations for dogs and puppies. Cats and kittens can be seen by appointment or at special events. Please check our calendar for upcoming events. https://grandrivershumane.com/event-calendar/

All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services. We are a foster based humane society and do not have a physical location.

Our mission is to reduce the number of homeless pets through adoption events & area locations and provide medical care for shelter pets in need. All of our adoptable pets come from Mesa County Animal Services.
