All Southern Crescent Canine Rescue pets are spayed or neutered, all vaccinations are up to date, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
We suggest follow-up intestinal worming two weeks after adoption. We require monthly heartworm preventive after adoption!
Meet Bogey, the charismatic King Charles Cavalier Spaniel/Pekingnese mix who's here to steal your heart. This 28-pound ball of fluff is 2-3 years old, and he'll attach himself to you quicker than you can say 'who's a good boy?'
Bogey gets along with people and dogs alike (as long as they're not reactive, that is). He's housetrained, and walks decently on leash.
But don't get too complacent - Bogey's got a secret talent for alerting you when someone is at the door or in the front yard. He’s a vocal guy with a big woof, and he’ll let you know something is going on! He's also known to get into low lying trash cans. He doesn't turn them over. He just picks off the top...sigh.
Bogey is a loyal companion who'll be by your side through thick and thin. He likes snuggling or just sitting by his person's side.

Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with slobbery puppy breath and felt the love, Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms and felt their pain, Until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog and felt their wisdom, And until you have seen and understood the look in your dogs eyes that tell you their time on earth with you is over .... and you humanely let them go, You will never understand the life of a rescuer.
