Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Alvin Michael — our 7-year-young mellow king of cozy! 🛋️💙
Alvin came to us from the shelter, and while his exact breed mix is a little “mystery DNA,” we’re pretty sure this handsome gentleman is part Aussie, part Border Collie, and 100% sweetheart.
Right now, Alvin is chill vibes only. His perfect day? Cuddling on the couch, supervising farm animals through the fence crack like it’s his full-time job, or perching in a chair to people-watch. He’s crate trained, loves carrying around his favorite toy, and is always down to binge Supernatural with you.
Alvin does have a couple special-care notes:
• He has early-onset hip dysplasia, so he’ll need lifelong joint supplements and a home that keeps things low-impact—no big jumps or rough activity.
• He tested positive for heartworms, but he’s completed his doxycycline and two-injection treatment like a champ. Now he’s on strict rest while those worms die off. Once he gets through his full recovery period, his energy may increase—most dogs feel SO much better once those worms are gone. Their bodies and circulatory systems have been under huge stress, so we often see a noticeable glow-up after healing.
He’s made huge progress with marking, gets nervous during storms, and absolutely melts for cuddle time. Expect a gentle, affectionate companion now—and possibly a happy little pep in his step once he’s fully recovered.
Alvin Michael is ready for a home that will love him gently, laugh with him often, and keep the couch warm. 🧡

After being approved by a team member, you'll be able to schedule a meet and greet with the pup that best matches your needs.
All of our pets are in private foster homes and many times the meeting will happen in a safe public location.
All animals are available to begin their home trials once the meeting has concluded and the rescue agrees to allow the pet to move forward to this stage.
