BAXTER is a classically handsome boy with a serious gaze, but a sweet and vulnerable soul. His name has Scottish origins meaning "baker" but we have a theory that his name was bestowed on him because of his fondness for making biscuits. He is comforted even simply by our presence and it tugs at our hearts when he simply lays his cheek on ours, seeking touch and affirmation. He is gentle and loving, but the shelter environment is a bit challenging for him. He's lived with other cats in his former home and did well with them, just as he's currently gaining confidence with brand new cat friends here. When he knows you, he enjoys soft petting (especially on his fabulous cheeks) and sitting pressed up against us, seems to bring him a sense of purpose and peace. We know he'll shine even more brightly in a home and he can't wait to make a love connection with someone special.
The Rescue is open 7 days a week for you to come and meet our pets! Walk-ins are welcome! In order to interact with them, you’ll need a simple questionnaire filled out. You can fill this out at the Rescue or before you come in at: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/36923/generic
