From stray to adoptable sweetheart, Journey is ready for her fresh start!

At 4 years old and 50 lbs, Journey may not be the smallest pup, but she still thinks she's a lap dog—so be prepared for lots of cuddles! She absolutely loves being around her people, including kids, and thrives on affection.

Journey prefers smaller dog friends and has already made a quick bestie in one of our resident beagles. She’s looking for a loving home where she can soak up all the love and snuggles she deserves.

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $160 to $185. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
