My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whiskey is a smart, spunky, and sweet young cattle dog mix who is learning confidence and social skills after an early puppyhood without many opportunities to develop either. She is now about 11 to 12 months old and has been working with a trainer to learn leash skills, become more confident in new situations, and enjoy life to the fullest. In the past six weeks or so she has been crate trained, potty trained; learned sit, down, and stay; developed a lovely recall and pretty decent leash manners; learned a shaping game; and shown some aptitude for scent work.

We think Whiskey would do best with a female handler in a home with another friendly dog and no small (pre-teen) children. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations and needs a family or person who will continue to help her build confidence and gain skills. She will reward the right owner with her trust and a lifetime of loyalty.
