My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I`m Thistle. Have you ever seen a more handsome fella? I am a bit on the timid side and may take time to warm up to a new place. I am learning how to gain confidence in my foster home with my sister. Oh, did I mention I have a sister? Well I do and we are a package deal. We need to find a home together. Due to our timid nature we need a home with no dogs or young children. If you would like to have 2 little fluff balls in your life, call my friends at TCRAS, to set up an appointment. 719-686-7707. (Bonded to Sunflower, $250 for both)

Additional adoption info

To adopt:
All adoptions must be done in person. Visit the shelter to meet the adoptable animals you would like to consider. TCRAS is open 6 days a week, please see hours of operation.

Your visit with each animal will be assisted by a trained adoption specialist to answer questions, address concerns and to help you decide if the animal is a good fit for your home environment (i.e. children, other pets, specific needs, etc). You can also bring in your current pets to do a visitation (this may be required with certain animals).

In the year 2000, the Teller County Regional Animal Shelter (TCRAS) was formed and continued under this leadership to the present day. Our shelter is a small, rural shelter. Every year, over 800 lost, abandoned, neglected, or homeless dogs and cats get assistance from TCRAS. We do not euthanize for time or space.
