Hi, I’m Sid! I was surrendered to the rescue because I was being bullied by every chicken I was socialized with. I was hatched earlier this year and I was always considered an oddball right off the rip. I desperately want to become part of the flock, but the last two homes I was in I got beat up by every rooster and I’m so sweet and submissive I don’t defend myself. I just want someone to like me, I’m very well mannered and very sweet. I would make a great house chicken! I will follow you everywhere and I love to cuddle and relax on the couch and even when I am spending time outside with other chickens, I tend to stay close to people. I promise if you give me a chance you’ll fall in love with me if you think I’m cute enough to bring home for the holidays, Please reach out to my rescuer with the information listed above my story and let her know you want to bring me home. My adoption fee is only $25 and I will come with a bag of my feed and some treats. I really hope someone is willing to give me a happy life free from the drama of the flock and maybe a couple ladies to build my confidence! I do look forward to hearing from you and I hope to hear from you soon!

Additional adoption info

My adoption process is incredibly simple and stress-free because I want my Adopter’s main focus to be bonding with their new Family Member. All animals approved for adoption have been checked by a licensed veterinarian and have been cleared healthy and ready for adoption. It is not my policy to adopt out any animals if they are sick and have not undergone multiple health evaluations, training, and rehabilitation.

Go meet their pets

We are located in Palmdale, but occasionally get invited to adoption events at the Hermosa Beach Festival or the Palos Verdes Fourth of July Festival.

More about this rescue

My mission will always be to give those in need that were discarded, abandon, abused, and neglected The second chance they so desperately deserve. The ones who lost faith and trust in people and who just need someone who won’t give up on them, and it is my deepest goal to match each family with the animal that suits their family dynamic. I of all people understand that life can throw unexpected curveballs that you’re not prepared for but it doesn’t mean these angels don’t deserve the absolute best life we could give them in the short amount of time they are here with us. Although my family is broken, it is my deepest wish to complete yours. I have a unique role as a rescuer because I have been a rescuer, licensed domestic and exotic rehabilitator and exotic animal educator as well as concierge vet for low income families for 23 years now and I don’t see myself stopping anytime soon. It is truly my calling, and I have dedicated my life to being the voice, caretaker and rehabilitator for the voiceless angels in need of a second chance.
