My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Drake — the Tenderhearted Soul Looking for His Safe Place

Drake is one of those dogs who just needs someone to truly see him. He’s a sweet boy with a soft spirit, and while the world can feel a little overwhelming to him right now, you can tell he wants to be brave. With every small wag, every tiny step forward, you can see his heart shining through.

Drake will thrive in a very patient, calm home—one that understands that confidence isn’t built overnight. He needs someone who can offer consistency, kindness, and quiet reassurance as he learns the world isn’t so scary after all.

Once Drake feels safe, you’ll get glimpses of the wonderful dog he’s becoming: gentle, affectionate, and deeply loyal. He’s the type who forms strong bonds and will reward your patience a hundred times over.

If you believe in second chances, slow steps, and celebrating small victories, Drake is waiting for you. With the right person, this nervous boy will blossom into the loving companion he’s always wanted to be. 💛Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is based on making the right match. Though people can apply for a specific animal, we would like to know more about lifestyle and match a pet with that lifestyle. For example, we would not want to match an active dog with an inactive one. Therefore, our primary concern is the interview process and getting to know the potential adopter.
