Carl is sweet as can be and has a heart of gold, but don’t expect him to be in a rush to do things your way. He’s definitely got a stubborn streak — the kind that makes you laugh more than anything else. He might look at you like, “Are you sure we’re doing that?” before eventually deciding it’s a good idea (especially if treats are involved).
Despite his size, Carl is incredibly gentle. He plays nicely, loves a good belly rub, and can often be found sprawled out in hilarious positions, legs everywhere, just living his best life. Our adoption process is meant to reduce barriers to adoption. We have a simple questionnaire that does not determine if the adopter is "approved" or "denied" and then we have a conversation about their lifestyle, home environment, and what they are looking for in a pet.

Come meet our cats and dogs Tuesday through Friday from 1pm to 4pm in our open-concept adoption space! Here, you can sit and spend time with our kitties in a relaxed environment to get to know each personality. We have a meet and greet room for our doggies, so you can spend time with them in a larger space or walk with them outside!
