Charlotte has been in rescue since early November. She is friendly with people and gets along with all the dogs in the home. She will chase a ball. When excited she jumps up and down on all four legs like she has springs. Charlotte is about 4 years old and a great size at about 50 lbs.
Charlotte is crate trained and walks well on leash.
Charlotte was surrendered to Polk County Animal Control with her sister Alice after their owner passed away. Polk county is always over crowded so after just a few weeks in the shelter they were soon on "the list". Fortunately, a kind volunteer got lots of pictures and videos and spread the word and that's how they made their way to us.
Ideally, we would like for Alice and Charlotte to be adopted together. A generous supporter has offered to sponsor on of the adoption fee if they are adopted as a pair.
adoption fee $300 includes spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and tested negative for heartworms.

Interview
Your application looks good. We might still have some question. You might have questions too. Foster parent will reach out to you.
Meet the Pet
Adoption is a family decision. We want to meet with everyone in the home including current dogs.
Sign Adoption Contract
If everything works out at the meet and greet, the contract is signed. You agree to keep your dog safe, register their microchip. etc
Take the Pet Home
Often times the pet can go home same day. If you are not ready, let us know we will give you a couple of days to get prepared.
