My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

At just 13 lbs, Roscoe is proof that great things come in small, scruffy packages. This 4–5-year-old Yorkie mix is equal parts loyal sidekick, walking buddy, and car-ride enthusiast. If you’re looking for a pup who will choose you over everyone else, Roscoe might just be your guy.

Roscoe was part of a transport from North Carolina to MD in 2023. We have learned that he is happiest as the one and only dog in the home—he’s not here to make canine friends, he’s here to be your friend. In fact, if you’ve got more than one human in the household, he’ll graciously spread his love… but only one at a time.

He’s potty trained, easy to walk, and doesn’t shed much. Roscoe is also wonderfully expressive—you’ll never have to wonder how he’s feeling, because he’ll let you know when it’s time for snuggles and when he’d prefer a little “me time.”

Roscoe prefers a calm, predictable household. He has done well with older children who respect his boundaries.
