Calliope (the torti) and her whole litter showed up in my mom's front yard as a kitten, we got all of them fixed and she was the one we kept as she refused to be taken in anything but the finest of pet carriers. About 8 months later Clio (the calico) shows up in my yard.
They're both very sweet girls who love to play and cuddle. Calliope is aloof and regal like queen while Clio is friendly and sweet like a princess. They're basically inseparable at this point.
They're desensitized to touch but don't like to be held. I've also taught them some basic commands and made sure to curtail bad habits before they became a problem.
If you choose to take them in, I'm willing to part with all of their toys and stuff, free of charge. š
