Socket is a handsome orange boy with a single bright eye and a whole lot of heart. Life may have left him with one eye, but it didn’t take away his spirit, it just made him even more unique. He can be a little shy at first, preferring to watch the world from a safe, cozy spot while he figures out who’s worthy of his trust. He also loves other cats.
But give him patience, kindness, and time, and Socket reveals who he truly is: a gentle, loyal companion with a surprising amount of love to give. Once he warms up, he’ll follow you around, seek out your company, and show you just how deeply a cat can bond with their person.
Socket isn’t looking for perfection, just someone who understands that the best friendships grow slowly and beautifully. When he chooses you, it’s forever.

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
