My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lola is a sweet, gentle kitty with big, expressive eyes. This past October Lola was hit by a car and treated at a local emergency hospital. When she arrived at Homeward Bound shortly after, she had a lot of physical restrictions in place to help her heal. As of mid-January, after her follow up x-ray, we are happy to report that nearly all of her restrictions have been removed and she is ready to find her forever home! We will be making sure she goes to a home that will be right for her needs and we will be happy to have those conversations as adopters come in to meet her. We believe Lola will be best suited to a quiet home where she is the only pet, at least initially. Homes with small children won't be a good fit for her at this time. She is lovely and affectionate and will make an excellent companion.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adopting an animal is an exciting and important step for you and your family! Here is a brief outline of what to expect.
1. Come to our shelter and visit with the animals... come as many times as you like... you'll know when you've met "the one!"
2. Meet with an adoption counselor who will work with you to see if the animal you want can fit into your lifestyle, preferences, desires and expectations or if another would be a better match!
3. Complete the adoption paperwork and counseling session (this may take up to 45 minutes, so please be prepared to spend this time with an Adoption Counselor). You may also complete the adoption application online prior to coming to the shelter! Please note the application is an expression of interest and does guarantee animal placement.
4. Take your new best friend home!!
