If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We adopted Gigi when she was 3 months old. We had her professionally trained when she was 6 months and still knows most of the commands such as sit, down, and place. She is definitely a smart dog with energy.
Unfortunately, after having our second kid it’s very hard keeping her exercised and entertained throughout the day while keeping up with day to day tasks. Because of this she does sometimes nip, jump, unintentionally scratch, and dig in the backyard. If she does get her exercise though she does pretty well and enjoys relaxing and laying around. We think she would do better with an owner that is able to exercise her more than we are. She loves to play with other dogs and plays very well but she is very nervous around people and very cautious. The only special need she has is apoquel otherwise her tummy gets red and rashy. She is a very healthy dog that loves to play but unfortunately our inability to meet her needs has led to some not good behaviors around our baby.
