My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet Shadow – An Independent Explorer with a Confident Spirit 🐾
📅 Age: ~2–5 years
🐶 Breed: Lab Mix
⚖️ Weight: ~54 lbs
💉 Status: Fully Vetted, Neutered, Ready for Adoption

Shadow is a confident, curious boy who approaches life with a calm, self-assured attitude. He’s more of an adventurer than a cuddler, preferring to take in his surroundings and explore at his own pace rather than constantly seek affection. Shadow knows his basics—like “sit” and “down”—is highly food motivated, and appears to be house-trained.

On leash, Shadow is easy to get out of the kennel and walks with moderate pulling, responding well with guidance. He’s done well during outings, showing good leash manners and enjoying new sights and environments. While he can be a bit reserved or aloof with strangers at first, he gains confidence with time and structure. His independence and curiosity make him a great match for someone who appreciates a dog with a thoughtful, self-directed personality.

🏡 Shadow’s Ideal Home:
