Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Alyssum is a working cat! This beautiful girl was found as a stray inside city limits and we assume that she has never been in a home before. Alyssum is very timid of people and has likely had little to no socialization with humans. Due to her nervousness, we are seeking a working cat home for her, where she can make her home base a cozy barn, shop or warehouse and help keep your pest levels down. Despite her history, Alyssum is not aggressive, just fearful! With time and patience, she may gain confidence around people, but for now she`ll be happy to have some space to herself. She would do best with a home prepared to slowly re-introduce her to outdoor living, bring her indoors at night, and ensure she is supplied daily with fresh food and water. With a little bit of warmth, time and TLC, this girl may start to show her sweet side and allow for some love. Email us today if Alyssum sounds like a match!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
