Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi, I’m Sarah, a 9-year-old female Chow Chow, and I’m hoping to find my forever home this holiday season. I’m quiet, very laid back, and I do people on my terms—but once I bond with you, I’m yours for life. ?? Here’s a little about me (and yes… it’s very “Chow Chow” of me): 1?? Noble & Aloof – Think cat software in a dog body. I’m dignified, reserved at first, and deeply loving once trust is earned. 2?? Loyal to My People – When you’re in my circle, my devotion is steady and true. 3?? Independent Thinker – I appreciate patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. 4?? Protective by Nature – I’m devoted to my home and people and thrive with someone who understands my instincts. 5?? Cautious with Strangers – Slow, respectful introductions help me shine—and once I warm up, my soft side appears. ?? Holiday Bonus! ? Sarah’s adoption fee has been FULLY SPONSORED by Puppy Love Pet Styling! ? That means there is no cost to adopt—just a loving commitment and a cozy place for the holidays. ?? This Christmas, give yourself (and me) the gift of quiet companionship and unconditional loyalty. I’m the calm, comforting presence that makes a house feel like home. ?? Ready to meet me? Visit northwoodshumanesociety.org, go to the Adoptable Animals page, and fill out the Dog Adoption Form. ?? Already applied? Call 715-634-5394 and let the shelter know you’d love to meet Sarah. ?? Every Christmas story deserves a heartwarming ending… Could mine be with you? ????

NHS works to place animals in good, loving homes. Potential families must complete a pre-adoption application. References are required and checked. There may be a 24 to 48 hour waiting period before adoption is finalized. All responsible adults in the family must be in agreement. The goal of NHS is for each adoption to be permanent.
