Meet Zander – Ready for His Forever Home! Zander is a 6-month-old male kitten who came to the shelter after being found with his three brothers living in a neighbor's shed. When no owners could be located and the finder was unable to keep them, the kittens were compassionately surrendered so they could find safe, loving homes. Zander is now ready to begin his next chapter! Zander is a curious, playful boy full of kitten energy and personality. He loves to explore, play, and make new friends and would be a wonderful addition to the right home. Medical Note – Ringworm: Zander is currently being treated for ringworm and is doing well. Ringworm is a common, treatable fungal skin infection (despite the name, it is not a worm). It is contagious through direct contact, but it is easily managed and curable with medication and basic cleaning measures. Zander will go home with medication to complete his treatment, and RAC staff will provide instructions and answer any questions to help ensure a smooth transition. Adoption Fee: $75 The adoption fee includes his neuter, microchip, rabies vaccination, first FVRCP booster, and first deworming. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense.
