My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🌟❤️ A Christmas Wish Named Maximus ❤️🌟
Max is a tender little soul who believes in quiet magic. At first, he may hide beneath the twinkling lights, watching the world from a safe corner. But with patience and kindness, you'll see him slowly step into the glow-his tiny paws padding toward you, his soft purrs whispering trust.

Gentle beginnings: He may be shy, but every small step he takes toward you is a gift.

Holiday magic: Max loves curling up under the Christmas tree, as if he knows that love is the greatest present of all.

Forever promise: Once he feels safe, he'll be the kitten who chooses you-quietly, wholeheartedly, and forever.

This Christmas, Maximus isn't asking for toys or treats. His only wish is a family who will unwrap his heart with patience and love. And when he blossoms, you'll discover that the shyest kittens often have the deepest love to give. 🎁✨

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
