My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎄✨ Meet Augustus! ✨🎄
Gus is a gentle little boy with the softest fur and the biggest heart. He's a bit shy at first, preferring to peek out from behind the tree or curl up quietly in his cozy blanket, but once he feels safe, he'll melt into your arms like warm cocoa.

Personality: Thoughtful, tender, and quietly curious

Favorite Spot: Nestled under the Christmas tree lights, watching the world sparkle

Special Talent: Purring softly like a jingle bell when you scratch behind his ears

Holiday Wish: A patient family who will give him time to blossom and show his loving side

Gus may not be the boldest kitten in the room, but he's the one who will steal your heart with his quiet charm and gentle spirit. This Christmas, he's hoping to find a forever home where he can unwrap the gift of love. 🎁❤️

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
